Conor Floyd is a PhD student in Physics. He did his undergraduate work at Harvey Mudd College in the Gerbode Lab, where he studied coarsening and topological defects in buckled colloidal monolayers. His current research uses simulations to investigate microbial dynamics during wetting and drying in porous media.

Outside of the lab, Conor makes friends at the climbing gym, plays board and video games, and likes most sports with a ball. He also loves dogs, especially his family’s papillon Scout.
