Faiza Shabibi is an undergraduate student studying Materials Science. She is interested in polymer chemistry, biomaterials, and nanotechnology, particularly for the development of implantable medical devices, tissue engineering, and human-device interfaces. Her work in the lab is focused on controlling flow instabilities in the gas-liquid displacement of polymer solutions, shear-thinning fluids, and yield-stress fluids by analyzing the effect of compressibility.

Outside of the lab, Faiza spends most of her time writing, binging shows, and reading books. She also likes painting, crocheting, badminton, and trying out the coffee shops in Pasadena.
