Undergraduate Summer Researcher
mmalkosh@caltech.edu
Maryan Malkosh is an undergraduate student studying Mechanical Engineering and pursuing the Designs, Systems, and Mechatronics track. She is interested in the field of medical engineering and nanotechnology, specifically their potential in drug delivery and prosthetics. She also wants to focus on consumerizing treatment and optimizing user experience. Her work in the lab focuses on measuring microbial behavior during the wetting-drying of porous media, specifically cryolite-based soil textures.
Maryan was born in Jordan and raised in California. She is a dual-sport athlete at Caltech, so, outside of playing soccer and training sprints, she can be found at the gym, practicing guitar, binging Studio Ghibli movies, or fueling her blind box collectibles addiction.
